b. 1951, lives in Berlin. Studied 1967-1979 at the Staatliche Glasfachschule Hadamar & UDK, Berlin. Has exhibited since 1982 at dokumenta 7; Nationalgalerie, Berlin; Guggenheim Museum, New York.

Shukhrat Babadjan
b. 1963, lives in Uzbekistan. Studied 1980-84 at the Institute of Fine Arts, Tashkent. 1986 Japanese Cultural Centre art prize.

Thomas Baumgärtel www.bananensprayer.de
b. 1960, lives in Cologne. Studied 1984-1994 at the Universität Köln & Humaniversity Egmond aan Zee, Holland. Spray-painted his first banana in 1986. Has sprayed bananas since then on the most interesting art sites worldwide, including London, New York and Moscow.

was born in Montreal, and studied photography at the Cegep du Vieux. 1997 College Degree (DEC) in Photographic Technique and Training "Tri-dimensional" technique with the photographer Martin Benoît. She lives in Montreal and New York and has discovered her love of Berlin through her work at the Luise. Since 1999 she has had several individual and group exhibitions in the USA, Canada, and in Europe. She has also won a number of competitions.

Goran Djurovic
b. 1952 in Belgrade, lives in Berlin. Studied 1975-80 at the HbK Dresden. Worked freelance from 1980 in East Berlin, after 1985 in West Berlin.

b. 1939, lives in Berlin and New York. Studied sculpture from 1959-1965 at the UdK Berlin with Paul Dierkes and Renée Sintenis. 1967, Georg-Kolbe-Preis.

Augustus Goertz
Geboren 1958 in New York City. Studium am San Francisco Art Institut und an der Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. Zeitweise Assistent von Roy Lichtenstein. Seit 1974 eine Vielzahl von internationalen Ausstellungen, lebt in NYC.

Moritz Götze
b. 1964, lives in Halle. Autodidact, working as an artist since 1986. 1994 guest professor at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts, Paris. 1996 artist support prize from Saxony-Anhalt, 1997 graphic prize of the associated cigarette factories of Dresden.

Sabine Gross
b. 1961, lives in Berlin. Studied at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Munich. 1991 Debut Prize of the Akademie Munich; 1993 DAAD fellowship at the School of Visual Arts, New York; 1994/1995 fellowship at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris; City of Munich fellowship (Förderpreis).

Sabine Hartung
b. 1965, lives and works in Offenbach am Main. Studied art from 1984-87 at HKM Bremen; 1987-92 at HFG Offenbach. 1997 Art Prize of the City of Offenbach. A rose painter since 1988.

was born in 1951 in Sühlingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. From 1979-1985 she earned her degree from the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich and in 2003 was the Artist in Residence in Solothurn, Switzerland. Since 1987 she has lived and worked as a painter and sculptor in Berlin. She has been featured in a diverse series of individual and group exhibitions since 1991.

Silke Mary Vollmers
b. 1966 in Jakarta. Self-taught designer of furniture and objects made from airplane parts since 1996. Exhibitions at the Luftfahrt Museum Hanover and in the International Flight Exhibition AERO in Friedrichshaven.

Toni Wirthmüller
Born in Munich in 1960, Wirthmüller has lived in Berlin since 1982, where he studied at the School of the Arts. Since the mid 1990s he has taught at the University of the Arts (UdK, formerly HdK) and the Facultad de Bellas Artes in Barcelona. From 2000 to 2007 he was a visiting lecturer at the Bauhaus University in Weimar.
Wirthmüller’s work has been shown in numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad. He has most recently exhibited in New York, San Francisco, Hamburg, Munich, Lisbon and Novosibirsk.
