The occupant of the elegant suite is confronted on various levels with figures commonly associated with German culture; in the living room are images of Dutschke, Beuys, Böll, Grass, Brecht and Anna Seghers along with landscapes of Bonn and Berlin. Hanging in the bedroom is an important triptych by the artist ”Metamorphoses of a German landscape, a Desire for Germany Blues”, which compellingly deals with the fragility of intellectual existence in Germany.
"Das Philosophenzimmer" (304) wurde ebenfalls von Oliver Jordan gestaltet.
Ottmar Hörl is known for lending concrete form to abstract ideas. His well-known multiple "UNSCHULD-Seife" (INNOCENCE Soap), the most successful German multiple, concretises the words of Pontius Pilate: "I wash my hands in innocence". The word “innocence” is given a whole new context in this INNOCENCE suite: furnished completely in shining black, elevated on teakwood parquet with black and white walls and textiles designed by the artist. SCHULD – UNSCHULD / GUILT - INNOCENCE, black - white, who really knows the difference anymore, especially in these times.
