Our hotel is often referred to as a “gallery to stay overnight” in one of the most exciting places in Berlin Mitte. Within sight of the Reichstag building and the Spree, just a few minutes' walk from Unter den Linden, the Brandenburg Gate and Friedrichstrasse. More Berlin - no more city center is possible! 50 artists let their creativity run free and transformed a historical city palace in Berlin Mitte into one of the most extraordinary hotels in the capital. From young master students at the art college to renowned artists, each of the 50 hotel rooms has been individually designed by an artist. Consistent, authentic and unique, with love and wit. Your Hotel in the Center of Berlin
Opened in 1995 as an authentic Berlin artists’ project, the "Luise" has developed into a charming hotel situated in one of the most exciting areas in Berlin-Mitte with a view of the Reichstag building and the Spree River, just a few minutes walk to Unter den Linden and the Brandenburg Gate. The Friedrichstrasse subway station and the Hauptbahnhof rail station are within easy walking distance—the train practically runs past the hotel.
More than 50 artists have designed our rooms individually for our quests. Single rooms, double rooms and suites have been restored in this neoclassical building dating from the year 1825. It is a listed monument. We also have a new extension with an eye-catching architecture. The hotel rooms are comfortable, and in the bel-etage they are explicitly generous.
In the tradition of the “Künstlerheim Luise,” the legendary predecessor of the current hotel, a number of simple, very reasonable rooms are available in the mansard, which are equipped with centrally located, shared baths.
At the reception a young, competent team is at your disposal around the clock. The in-house restaurant “Habel” offers a breakfast buffet or a simple choice of coffee & croissants. From noon onward it serves regional and Mediterranean cuisine. Because of the hotel’s location in the heart of the government quarter, there is hardly a politician or journalist who is unfamiliar with this dining locale. Countless other restaurants, cafés and bars are within walking distance, as are theaters, revue shows and cabarets—and of course museums and galleries.
