The New York artist Augustus Goertz will be setting up a livable atelier based on the model of his own studio in Tribeca, New York in this room.

The installation will be completed little by little during his regular stopovers in Berlin. Some of his own works will be incorporated into the design as well as equipment, notes, literature and anything else that the artist requires for his original creations or that contribute to the studio’s unique atmosphere. Any guest of the Luise can book this studio just like any other normal guest room and thereby enter the fascinating world of the artist.

As a first step he has already brought 4 works from his cycle “New York Nudes“ with him, and two pieces of his new series „Modern Archaeology“.

This project is designed to be a “work in progress.“ We will keep you informed of any new developments periodically on our website. Or come and see for yourself during your next stay at the Luise.
