Johann Simon Habel had served as the vintner of "Old Fritz" (Frederick the Great) for 42 years when he founded the Berlin winery Gebrüder Habel in 1779. His descendents still make sure that the kitchen and cellar are serving the best in their restaurant at "Arte Luise Kunsthotel".
From 7:00 - 10:30 am the restaurant offers a buffet breakfast. Starting at 12:00 pm the kitchen is open with lovingly prepared German-Mediterranean cuisine and specialties from the region, which in the summer are also served on the broad terrace.
This is where decision-makers in politics, media, economy, culture, and science come together for lunch and dinner. Even kings have been served here!
