Jogging and strolling in the Tiergarten While the Arte Luise is situated in the heart of a vibrant city, the Tiergarten park and Spree river are only a few short meters away; which is what makes our hotel ideal for guests who cannot do without their daily jog or those who just appreciate a relaxing walk. The Arte Luise offers multiple possibilities: short routes to the Kanzleramt (Federal Chancellery), Schloss Bellevue (Palace Bellevue) or to Potsdamer Platz, or try the half-marathon route along the Spree all the way to Charlottenburg. When you hear the roar of lions, that means you have found the Zoologischer Garten (Zoo) adjacent to the park.
Bike ToursHighly recommended in the summer months: a bike tour through the center of Berlin or along the Spree. You can order bicycles with us, and they then appear in front of the hotel at short notice. The daily rental fee is 12 EURO. Recommended routes to the east include the small streets of the Scheunenviertel and on to Kollwitzplatz in Prenzlauer Berg (particularly in the evening) and/or to the west along the banks of the Spree and passing the Kanzleramt, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, and Schloss Bellevue all the way to Schloss Charlottenburg.
City Bus Tours Most city bus tours through Berlin start at Brandenburger Tor, not far from our hotel. There, many companies offer numerous routes to interesting sites and historical places with tours in different languages. For short distances you can rent a velo-taxi.
Boat Tours A well-know point of departure for the boat tours through Berlin´s waterways is the dock at the "Friedrichstrasse" on the Spree, just 500 m from our hotel. In high season boats and ships depart every fifteen minutes for one-hour city tours. On certain days there are also excursions lasting several hours to outlying areas of Berlin.
